One of the longest surviving works of medieval Irish literature, the Acallam frames its Fenian tales as stories told by the aged warrior Oisín and his companion Caílte to St. Patrick, two centuries after the Fianna's time. It is the main source for Fionn mac Cumhaill, Oisín, Diarmuid, and the wider Fianna.
